Joe Reddick is a highly temperamental man struggling to rebuild his life after losing his wife and kid in a murder incident at their home. Nine years after the incident the former cop having moved to Los Angeles has started his life a new. He is married and has a beautiful son. However the scars of his past will not let him be. He is obsessed with his family's safety and is determined to keep his family out of harm's way whatever the cost. This is because he feels guilty about his family's murder since he was not home at the time of the murder. Reddick feels that he should have been home to protect them. Reddick's fanatical obsession and temper threatens his new marriage and is about to get him into more trouble than he would have ever imagined.
A small coincidental accident triggers the entire plot for this new release. A group of budding entrepreneurs get into trouble after borrowing money from a Mexican drug dealer and they are unable to pay the money back. Andy Baumhower and his three friends find themselves in a pickle when the drug lord wants his money back within a week and there is no way they could raise that amount that fast. The situation quickly spins out of control when on of them is killed and when they are on their way back form burying the body they collide with Joe Reddick's car. Fearing that when Joe reports the case to the police everything will be revealed, Baumhower threatens Joe Reddick's family.
This move is definitely not received well by Joe and all his past guilt and scars begin to trickle back. He is hell bent on keeping his family safe from any attack or threat. When a masked criminal breaks in and threatens his family with a knife Joe prepares for war. He sends his family to safety and begins to plan his attack. He will not rest until those who threatened his family are dead. In the end Reddick's nightmare will be over no matter the cost.
Assume nothing is a brilliant book which tells the story where a man's obsession eventually denies him his own happiness in life. He lets one incident shape his entire life into a miserable and worthless existence denying even those close to him the warmth of his love. The book is packed with suspense, adventure and mystery. It is well written and in my opinion worth reading. The book was released in December 2011 and is a stand alone book which means it is not part of a series. Gar Anthony Haywood is an acclaimed award winning author whoís most famous for his book "Cemetery Road". He was born in L.A California and is married with two kids. Other books he has authored include Fear of the Dark, Not Long for This World and You Can Die Trying among many others. Assume Nothing is an amazing newly released mystery book that will blow your mind away.
